Dr. Stephanie Race
Dr. Race completed her undergraduate studies at The University of Wisconsin-Madison and went on to receive her dental degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 1994. She began working with her father and years later with her brother, Dr. Jeffrey O’Brien. Sunset Dental Care is truly a family dental office.
In her career Dr. Race has completed additional education through Baylor University College of Dentistry- Esthetic Restorative Diagnosis and Treatment Program, The Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies, Advanced Cerec 3D Technology and The Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation. Dr. Race participates in many continuing education courses with her team every year to provide the best care for patients.
She is married to Dr. Kevin Race, an orthodontist. They have 3 children who live in 3 different states which allows them many travel opportunities. She enjoys hiking, playing pickleball and volleyball, and is an avid sports fan attending as many college basketball and football games as she can.
Dr. Jeffrey O’Brien
Dr. O’Brien’s dental journey began at the University of Wisconsin – Madison as a Badger in the College of Engineering. Then focused on Dentistry at Marquette University and became a Golden Eagle. With his thirst for training and knowledge he did a one year post-graduate General Practice Residency at the Woods V.A. Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. He also trained at the Las Vegas Institute for Cosmetic Dentistry and trained in dental implants at the Hands on Training Institute Mini Residency.
Dr. O’Brien enjoys time with his family and dogs as well as, golfing, skiing and snowmobiling. Dr. O’Brien also has trained to make his patients comfortable. He has taken oral conscious sedation courses from the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation to be able to sedate patients for dental treatment if they wish.
